Kirinskoye GCF-Monitoring

From August till November 2012 Fertoing launched 2 expeditions that performed well mouths survey at Kirinskoye, Yuzhno-Kirinskoye and Mygninskoye license blocks suspended and abandoned wells in the Sea of Okhotsk, offshore Sakhalin Island.

Visual inspection and video recording of the bottom well sites were performed in order to get information about well mouth condition (hydrocarbons and intercasing leakages, mud springs, debris) as well as water, soil and gas sampling were taken for further lab analysis.

All works were carried out on board the MSV Normand Clough using the observation-type ROV TIGER 870 and the working-type ROV TRITON XLX06. For ROV positioning a USBL hydroacoustic navigation system Kongsberg HiPAP 500 was used installed onto the MSV Normand Clough by authorized representatives.
