In 2013, Fertoing entered final straight in construction and commissioning of the Olympic facilities that will host the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.

Throughout the year, we provided services for commissioning of the Olympic marine infrastructure facilities. To these facilities refer berths of the marine cargo terminal at the mouth of the river Mzymta, numerous hydraulic structures in a new cruise terminal and marina moorings in the seaport of Sochi.

Large amount of navigational, marine survey and dredging engineering supervision work was performed in the above mentioned terminals.

A project aimed at equipping newly constructed seaports with modern aids to navigation has been completed. These services were carried out on a turnkey basis, including design, supply, installation and commissioning of the entire range of navigational equipment.

In order to ensure safe navigation in the waters and approach channels of the seaport of Sochi and security of the constructed hydraulic structures, Fertoing supplied and installed company-manufactured automated hydrological monitoring systems Tide Control®.

2013 was a most challenging year for the entire construction period. Intensity of the engineering operations required mobilization of efforts and resources to ensure timely commissioning of the planned facilities.

Participating in construction of the marine facilities for the Olympic Sochi since 2009, start of construction, Fertoing has contributed to the timely and proper completion of modernization of Sochi as a cutting-edge mountain resort and the capital of the Winter Olympic Games 2014.
